I can't keep my shuffle in the sidebar all the time in iTunes 7?

In 6 the shuffle would stay there even when ejected so you could update it ready for the next time I plugged it in. I can't find that option in 7 - has it gone?
And why did they get rid of Apple-1 to bring up the main window?!

You could make an alias of it when it is mounted, and put that in your sidebar. Would that work?

Sorry I meant in my source list in the left of the iTunes 7 window, not the Finder.

I've got the same damn problem. In iTunes 7, my Shuffle won't stay in the "Devices" list when it's not attached to my iMac. But in iTunes 6, it would.

Mine stayed in the sources list until I attached it just now. Oh well.

Ditto, my second Powerbook still has it listed but I'm guessing once I plug it in it and remove it it will dissapear like it did on the Primary machine...son of a...liked having it there to play with the song list! Was searching all over for options until this thread!

Very annoying when they remove features like this, what harm was it doing?

Shuffle users are hopping mad about this over at Apple Discussion pages. If you want to request that Apple restore this feature, then submit your request here:

Nice, thanks for the link! Sent off a request....hopefully enough emails will result in the re-addition in the next update!
