Pentax this week introduced three new cameras with the Q10, K-5 II and K-5 IIs. The Q10 sports a 12.4-megapixel sensor and claims to be the smallest and lightest interchangeable lens system. Compared to the original Q, the Q10 sports a new grip but carries over the bokeh control dial.

It is available in two fresh colors; silver and red. The camera is bundled with a 15-45mm zoom telephoto lens and a K-mount lens adapter. It also gets 1080p video recording capability, 5fps shooting speed, anti-shake tech, and a pop-up flash The camera is due out in October, priced at $600. The K-5 DSLR replacements in the K-5 II and K-5 IIs are rugged enough to withstand dust as well as weather and temperature extremes. The chassis is made up of stainless steel and magnesium alloy. They retain the old camera's 16.3-megapixel sensor but the SAFOX X AF sensor was improved for faster autofocus and better low-light sensitivity. The ISO now ranges from 80 to 51,200. An HDMI output is built-in, and the cameras can shoot 1080p video at 25fps. Both new DSLRs also share a 3-inch, 925k LCD and 7fps burst mode. They can shoot in RAW and have an HDR image capture mode. The sole difference is the lack of an anti-aliasing filter in the s. These cameras will also arrive some time in October, priced at $1,200 for the K-5 II body and $1,300 for the K-5 IIs body. With a DA 18-55mm WR zoom lens the K-5 II costs $1,350.
