Kind of hard to do real science with a helium balloon and a Canon point-and-shoot camera. Those are great photos, yes indeed, but the balloon doesn't get to microgravity altitudes and velocities, it doesn't get high enough to remain in place and do anything useful, and it IS potentially hazardous to everything from aircraft (going up and coming down) to sea life. It's a cool thing to do, but we really DO need a real spacecraft to do some things.
