Just read this:

"Important note for ATI users: You must download and install the latest Catalyst drivers (7.9 or later) in order to be able to run the Enemy Territory: Quake Wars demo. The next revision of the ATI drivers is going to include the hotfix."

As the latest Boot Camp 1.4 drivers are based on Catalyst 7.7 it looks as if I won't bother downloading Quake Wars until confirmation it is working with the Apple supplied drivers.

I take it since you mention Bootcamp, this news is for Windows users only, not MacOS X?

Im running a Macbook Pro 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo model, 3GB RAM, and I tried downloading the Catalyst Mobility version 7.9 required to run Quake Wars under XP, but the compatibility checker says I do no have a compatible video card. I mean, its an X1600, so it should work. I installed the Catalyst 7.8 because I found a downloadable version of the driver, but you cant get the new driver from ATi, only the compatibility checker. Anyone know where to get the Catalyst Mobility version 7.9?
