Excellent choice on the order. All the power you need for on the go and more than enough power for at home.

Ordered my Dual 2.0 6/23, first day and received it today. Changed my shipping to overnight after i received my email from apple telling me that the orders had been pushed back ( who would have guessed!). Let me tell you very very very fast...

The 15" AluBook will ship on or before 9/19, that's with the standard 80GB hard drive and superdrive configuration. The dual 2.0GHz G5 has a ship date on or before 10/23. Everything else arrives within the next few days, including my dual 17" Studio Display's.

Just ordered a CTO Dual with 9800 pro, 250 HD, Blue tooth, and two 23" Apple LCD's. Apple said same day on the 23" displays but the ship time has slipped twice from 16th to the 19th. This sucks I asked for Fed Ex over night and now they will ship on Friday, I hope they deliver on Saturdays.

FYI the Dual is slated to ship on or before oct 22 I order on 9/16 hopefully they are ramping up to full production sooner.

Apple has it Shipped Yet?

well, this morning my 15" AluBook arrived at my doorstep!!! all I can say is that this machine is sweet. I'm upgrading from a G3 500 Pismo and the difference is amazing! The screen is perfect and really bright. Now just waiting for the Dual 2GHz G5 to arrive in a few weeks. This PowerBook should keep me busy until then...

Hey, since you're so rich, how about sparing another G5 for a brotha?

Congrats!!! I am trying to see if I can get a 12" and 20" ACD for the office now. I would love to upgrade the 1.8 to a dual 2.0 but would have to find a buyer for a month-old G5.
 Mac Pro 8-Core 2.26GHz Xeon | 12GB RAM | 2.5TB HDD | ATI Radeon HD 4870 | 24" LED Cinema Display
 Mac mini [Unibody] 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo | 8GB RAM | 500GB Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid HDD | 24" LED Cinema Display
 MacBook Air 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo | 4GB RAM | 256GB SDD
Too many accessories to list...

It's definitely powerful, but upgrading to a dual is more of a thought right now.

LMFAO

That is actually a great amount of gear for 8 g's.

why dual 17"s instead of a single 22-23?

Since I will be using this primarily for Pro Tools LE, I needed a dual monitor setup. If I had the budget I would have purchased dual 20"s. Someday...
