Hey all, I'm a computer engineering student at the University of Arizona, and am relatively familiar with C coding. However, I've never attempted to code outside a Solaris 9 terminal. Just for fun, I went ahead and installed GCC 3.3 on my new iBook and tried to compile a few programs. However, every time I run GCC, I get this message:

stdio.h: No such file or directory

I'm sure that I'm missing something really obvious, but I'm genuinely at a loss as to what to do. I tried asking a professor, but he genuinely had no clue that OS X was UNIX-based. I feel dumb asking, but I'd really appreciate some help.

How did you install GCC? Did you download and install a Darwin version, or did you use the Developer Tools CD?
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

Hmm, never mind. I went ahead and installed a few SDK packages and got it working. This is why reading a "Read Me" file is a good idea... sorry bout all that.

Yup. gcc is pretty useless without the BSD SDK.
