...which wouldn't seem like a big deal, except I live in Tucson, AZ. And it wasn't just a few flurries that never stuck to the ground; we actually got a few cm of the stuff lying around.

Yes, that's a Saguaro cactus covered in snow. There was even enough snow to make a little dirty snowdude:

There's a pretty good chance of some more snowfall tonight. I just felt like sharing.

That's actually dead grass underneath it. There was a better one on the other side of campus (about waist-high, very clean snow), but I didn't get a photo.

Yes, a bit freakish. I've seen flurries in Phoenix. I guess it's that pesky global warming thing.

The world is really ****ed up these days. Snow in arizona, temperatures of 13° celcius in the middle of the winter over here, hurricane-like storms in western europe etc.

First real snow I've seen here. Though the oddest was on Easter a few years ago.

Never seen snow in Phoenix... but I thought it's normal for Tucson? At least that's what I was told when I visited (maybe not a lot... but it happens.. ).

Yeah, that's more snow than we've gotten in NYC so far this season. There was some light snow when I got out of class tonight, but nothing sticking.

It happens occasionally around the edge of the city (Tucson, not Phoenix), where the elevation's quite a bit higher, but almost never downtown or at the University of Arizona. About 10 miles east of campus, they got 3-4 inches! Insane!

And no, it didn't end up snowing again today. Too bad... tomorrow has a high of 57. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

I demand 38" of snow in my backyard like in '05.

We got less than a half inch last night, so at least I was able to fishtail a little bit this morning

the snow crop this year is disappointing. we got an inch last night and it looks to melt by nightfall.

MALIBU? That IS nuts. Next it'll be snowing in Key West. Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!
