YouTube - Maher Questions Obama's Christianity: "I Just Don't Believe It"
Calling him a "secular humanist"(his mother was, he said), Bill Maher is essentially calling President Obama an atheist. One of the guests says "he changed his mind on the god question " Another says "he went to church before he ran for President" My P.U.M.A brother says this was done for street cred when he ran for the Illinois state senate. Too bad it wasn't Bill O'Reilly instead of Bill Maher, then it might actually gets some press.

Okay, well then, thanks for sharing?
This story would be just as meh to me if O'Reilly reported it, maybe even more so.
Now if this came from the corpse of John Lennon, that would be interesting!

Most everything Obama says about himself is questionable.
He's an empty suit, marketed for mass consumption. I remember back when he was supposed to be John McCain in blackface. That was a superb performance, rivaling that of any song and dance the corpse of John Lennon would ever be able to pull off.
As always, sometimes you don't always see the "hype" until you buy the product. Obama's ratings show buyer's remorse.

Yeah, someone on Fox News thinking Obama isn't Christian would really gather some media attention.

BREAKING: Obama not publicly passionate about his Christianity, some suspect he may be just going through the motions. In other news, although about 80% of Americans claim to belong to a religious denomination, polls consistently show that only between 25-40% regularly attend religious services, others probably prefer watching football.
I blame wherever it is Obama was actually born (Kenya? Mars? Maybe!)

I hope he is an atheist.
It would be nice if an open atheist could run for office in this country, but unfortunately most Christians in this country are too close-minded...
In a related note, I'm willing to wager that the majority of politicians are just going through the motions with their Christianity.

I agree, I'm disappointed but not surprised.

I don't understand why people like yourself feel that this is a foregone conclusion, based an approval polls and history, not to mention what could happen in the next two years.

Besides the Mormon guy, there are no credible names being floated right now. At this point, it's a certainly for Obama.

At this point, as long as the name ISN'T Obama, they have a shot. I think that the last poll I saw even Palin was either tied or polling above him.
With the "new" rubbed off him, the media won't be as kind in 2012. He might actually be forced to explain why he's hiding so much about his past. Unless a miracle happens, he's toast. He's yet to prove himself to be self aware and truly change coarse as Clinton did. I predict there may even be a party challenger for him.

Obama is going to have to work hard to get his contract renewed in 2012, but his challenges will have nothing to do with his birth certificate, and hopefully nothing to do with speculation about how much of a Christain he is.

Fresh or stale?
You didn't get me all riled up, I just wasn't sure if you were being serious. If Obama doesn't get re-elected, so be it.

I wasn't just referencing his birth certificate. He's got a long record of hiding or lying about his past. A record that a the media would never have let a Republican candidate get away with, and might not even let an unpopular Democrat who they might like see challenged get away with.
That's on top of his dismal record and failures.

You're right, of course! If he really wanted us to know about his past, he'd write a book or two about it.

Non-fiction preferably.
I guess that's the standard we'll use for all politicians.
If Bush wanted us to know about his service record, his drunk driving arrest, or whether or not there where WMD's in Iraq, he would have just wrote about it in a book.
If Clinton wanted us to know about his shady land deals or history of sexual harassment, he'd just write a book about it.
Nixon should have just held onto the deleted audio recordings and saved those for a book as well!

Hardly. Maher's just trying to get more people to admit to not believing. He thinks a lot of people just give lip service to religion instead of admitting their own doubts or outright disbelief.

Obama WON'T WIN.. Its the Economy stupid.
He ruined it with his idiotic policies and his radical advisors.
didn't work in Chicago, didn't work in California either.
Harry Reid will sink Obama.

Yeah, I'd say that he's virtually guaranteed reelection.
The Republicans won big in 2010, so they'll get the blame for whatever's wrong in 2012 and after two years of gridlock in Congress, I'm betting a lot will be wrong. What's more, we know the voters in 2010 were demographically older and that younger voters, who lean by and large further left, come out for presidential elections.

How did Obama ruin the economy? The recession started before he took office.

It continued well after most other Presidents would have likely put a plan into place which would help remedy the problem, instead of making it worse.

I doubt that's true. With two years of gridlock and the Republicans not really getting to put any of their plans into place, having only the House and not being in charge at Executive, it's going to be hard to spin it as the Republicans fault. I don't think that the guy at the top is going to benefit unless things go up, and I'm betting they won't since he has the power to veto the stuff that would likely help (the country, but not his party).

Like Democrats were able to get through all of the stuff they wanted? Gridlock is gridlock, it goes both ways. Most people just want to see progress, they are mostly apolitical or non-ideological.
