I'm having issues with Google Maps so I used Apple today. But amazing:... Just to confirm: Apple does not show visually on screen the next street coming up? I need confirmation on that... would be an amazing flaw.
Apple Maps does show the next direction on the top. But you need to press go to enter navigation mode. You can also manually scroll forwards or backwards by swiping right or left on the top part.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
