You would not believe the original Canon A70's quality. If you like those, I can send you more enhanced A70 pictures.

At their full resolution you can see the amount of work I had to do much better. That resolution is too big to post anywhere online.

This woman was a pain to fix. First I had to brush out the acne on her cheeks, fix her hair, clean up her chest, remove birthmarks. Simple. Then slim her legs down and brush out the stubble on her legs. She had grazed herself so badly shaving her shins it was very hard to brush out so I had to mostly paint in a fake shin instead. And the veins in her feet. Don't ask. Correcting blue, lumpy feet is not easy.

Here are some more. I'm afraid an unfortunate pass of iPhoto Diet stripped the originals from me. All this pictures have been taken with a Canon A70 and post-processed in order to compensate the limitations of the camera and bring the pictures much closer to what I was and felt when I took the photo.

A select few of us were invited to attend a special event on an island of undisclosed location. Quite facinating. Dakar was able to snap a really good picture. There was minimal Photoshopping done to enhance the color just a little.

I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

I did one like that a few years ago.

I other than fun little things like this, I don't tend to photoshop, or even post process, my photos.

I did one of myself ad one of my wife and kids, but there are too many weirdos on here, so I don't post them.

I rarely do much PS work on personal pictures, just levels adjusting, but clients usually require quite a bit on their portraits. But then it is not much more than blemish removal or removing glare from eye-glasses.

I wasn't trying to be Rob, but both look to me way oversaturated in the reds. Skin texture in her cleavage and on his shoulders is breaking up as a result.
I think that measuring the quality of an image on whether the client likes it can be a slippery slope. But as I've said, I'm nitpicking.

I saw some of your other pics on flickr and there was nice work there.

I have to agree with Mastrap here. I like the originals much better. But then, I don't know what the final product the clients was looking for.

I like the darker contrast on the second ones... yes it is a little overrich, surreal... the woman looks like an album cover shot.

I do like the higher contrast of the 2nd ones, but I think they are a bit over-saturated and the blur vignetting is a bit too much for me. A white vignette would have looked better IMHO.

Obviously you are not familiar with the world of "glamour" photography. Clichéd vignettes, oversaturation, smoothed skin and "bling" is par for the course.

These are by far the mildest examples of the "genre" which is as far from normal portrait photography as you can get while still photographing people
