i have some scripts (ie empty trash, shutdown)
that were working...until today.

instead of running, they open as a window in the script editor (where i could then run them... )

any ideas?

This issue hasn't bitten me yet, but I'd give this a try:

Have you tried doing a "save as" and saving the script as an application.

I think the Panther version of Applescript makes some changes in the file type of scripts. Instead of "compiled script" there is "script" and "application".

Good luck

Don't have panther but there should be an optin when you save it to not have it prompt.
