Is their any new more powerful graphics cards coming for the mac pro? i kno now the most powerful gaming one is the ATI Radeon X1900 XT.
2 Ghz, 2GB Ram, leopard - Mac Pro

Been wanting to upgrade MacPro nVidia 7300GT for a while, hopefully whatever new card Apple releases doesn't generate tons of heat and costs less than $400.

If it is the 8800GT, it will pass both your requirements.

Best guess: Macworld, 8800GT or a 3800 along with Xeon 54xx.

Apple will probably release it sooner if it becomes obsolete

A few weeks after you first can order it in a new Mac, so February or thereabouts.

i will properly wait for the new graphics card theirs no point getting the ati if a new one is on the way

New Mac Pro's are slated for next week, as far as the rumor mill goes.

I hadn't heard. I wouldn't expect any more updates before Christmas, but maybe the Mac Pro isn't a big Christmas item, so I guess it won't matter a lot if you disrupt the logistics a bit.
