Hi, all;
So I'm considering buying one of the Mimo USB monitors
seen here as a second monitor for my first-gen Intel Macbook running Snow Leopard. The ones I'm looking at are the non-touchscreen ones. One of the primary things I'd want to do with it is to play video files using VLC while I do other things on my main screen.
Looking at
Mimo's Mac FAQ page, I find this among the known issues:
"VLC player crashes when DisplayLink display is primary (2528)"
So... "primary" for what? For my Mac? For VLC? Does that mean that I can't watch a file in VLC on the thing while using it as a secondary monitor?
Does anyone know? Has anyone used one of these things and tried this?
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
