I'm a Windows user, and have no experience with Mac OSX. A friend of mine needs an RSS reader. It should be very basic, no thrill, easy to use. The Jeep of RSS, if you will :-)

If you want basic, no frills, then Safari (the default Mac OS browser) does a good job as an RSS feed reader.
