The trailer is up on Apple's website. It looks a lot like Nightmare Before Christmas. I wonder if it's using the same stop-motion animation or if it's simply CGI made to look like stop-motion animation.

Here's to hoping Tim has another masterpiece on his hands.

The only Tim Burton movie I ever really liked is Ed Wood.

And the original Batman wasn't horrible... but it's hard to remember it now that it's clouded in the Schumacher (mis)directing.

i think it's cgi. the shading on the faces looks a lot smoother than they did on nightmare before christmas. it has the same style, but something about it makes me think it is cgi.

i don't know if it is because johnny depp is doing the new charlie and the chocolate factory with tim burton or not, but when i first saw the main character in the opening scene he reminded me of johnny depp.

it looks great, i can't wait to see it.

I am very excited for this.

Almost looks like they finally realized that Nightmare Before Christmas has a very large cult following (including myself who even tries to collect Diney Nightmare gear) and they are trying to score those fans with the looks.....

Not that I am complaining at all
Who reads this???

i meant, i don't know if i thought it was his because they did a good job with the character model or because my brain has associated johnny depp and tim burton right now. i watched the charlie and the chocolate factory trailer again recently.

I have to agree, that is one of the worst movies of all time.

For the first time ever I actually wanted to leave the theatre 45 min into it.

That's cause the character is made to look like Johnny Depp.

Looks neat, I wonder if it'll have some nice music. Tim Burton/Danny Elfman are always together, and the score for Nightmare was nice. Did you guys know Tim did Jack's singing voice? As well as the lyrics.

Vinton Studios in London is doing it. It is Stop-motion (NOT CG). It's based on a Russian Folktale. Google the title and it will take you to the websites.

Saw it recently. Thought it was rather lacking compared to his masterpiece: "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Don't waste your time on this cliche-filled drudgery. And the music sucked too.

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. The classical pieces were better than the jazzy pieces. Good story, well written, good animation. Go see it.

Why are you looking forward to a movie that's been out for weeks?
