When I turn on OS X's built in firewall, the log shows nothing but connections attempts "to UDP 192.168.1.20:162 from 192.168.1.1:xxxx", where the former is my Mac's assigned IP and the later is my Linksys router. Each one has a port number one number higher than the previous (192.168.1.1:28962, 192.168.1.1:28963, and so on). What I'm wondering is, are these attempts actually coming from my router itself, and if so, for what purpose? Or is there something else at foot here?

I think I figured it out. I had enabled the Access Log some long time ago and told it to send to my Mac's IP, but, that didn't accomplish anything other that what I mentioned above.
