CRTs don't have pixels, per se, so I don't think that's what you're seeing.

Could you take a picture or something? Because I've never seen a CRT with a dead pixel before, does that even exist?

The inside of the face of a CRT has "phosphors" which are lit by having an electron beam sweep over them. If you have one tiny area that's completely black, there's almost nothing you can do to fix it-the phosphor has been destroyed. This can happen by having the electron beam focus on the same spot for far too long-it's called "burn in."

What the hell??! I didn't mean to post this topic at all. LOL!
But it's true, I have a tiny black dot on the screen. It's definitely a "dead spot" and not dirt on the glass. It's way too small to take a picture of.
ghporter: that's about what I figured. I decided it didn't matter and don't know how this got posted......
