I use the search function in Preview quite frequently. The program jumps the page on which the word has been found and then highlights it. On my Mac, however, this highlight colour is a drab grey, and it's impossible to quickly see where the text is highlighted. I would like to change this to a bright green (or something) but I don't see how this is possible. Any thoughts? Ta.

This can be changed in System Preferences->Appearance ->Highlight Color, although I notice the selection becomes light grey when the keyboard focus is not within the PDF view.
This problem should be solved in Leopard, if Preview handles searches the same way as Safari 3.

I remember that I tried that a while ago but without success. I have bright green set in System Preferences and it's still grey in Preview. Hmm. I'll just wait till 10.5. Thanks.

The keyboard focus needs to be inside the PDF view. Press tab a couple of times until it is then continue the search with ⌘G so that you don't have to click outside.
