I think all the slot-loaders except the original 350 MHz blueberry and the Summer 2000 350 MHz are AirPort ready. To check, open the little RAM door on the back and look for the airport connector.

Here are the instructions from Apple.

It's airport ready.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

You'll need this adapter and the $79 AirPort card--not the Extreme.

Hey Scott your link is dead. I think when you order the card the adaptor is include, at least when I have installed them the have been. Any yes, your iMac is ready for Airport, but not Airport Extreme, just order the right one. As far as the adaptor is concern, I would ask, they do sell it by itself too os it makes me wonder.

Bah, dumb Apple Store. Anyway, the adapter's not included anymore. Once the LCD iMac and eMacs were introduced--and don't require the adapter (the CRT iMac being the only Mac that required it)--Apple saved some expense by no longer including it.
