My father suffers from what I call "Alzheimer's Light" and forgot the password (and user name i think) of his TiG4 computer.

Is there anyway to get back in and reset it ? I think he is running 10.3.9 or 10.4.?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The system install CD will let you reset the password.

Here's an Apple KB that describes the process to which Chuckit is referring:

Mac OS X: Changing or resetting an account password

The Reset Password utility will give you the user's real name and username.

It should be noted however that this will not reset the keychain password. The only way to fix this is to toss the keychain and start fresh (delete the ~/Library/Keychains/ folder and log out, then back in).
I'm cookoo for Cocoa Apps!

I can vouch for this method. I just recently did this on a friends MacbookPro. Your installation CD should do the trick.
