Why, thank you.
I didn't want to start a flame war, so hopefully you don't take my comment up there to heart. But I don't see the difference in believing in elves vs. other religions - both look equally odd to me. And of course, people should be allowed to hold their own beliefs.

Heh, no - I'm not an Islam converter. I'm just Hugi.

Someone trigger my memory, then—who’s the neo-Muslim? It’s not voodoo, it’s not you; so who’s the third?

I just realised that I’d managed to get Hugi and Sayf-Allah mixed up, thinking that Hugi was Logic’s new nick, when it is of course Sayf-Allah. Confusion now under control.

Don't forget von Wrangell. I think it went logic -> von Wrangell -> Sayf-Allah in terms of the nicks used by the same guy.

One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

You forgot to include Jesus in that list to follow the theme of the thread.

Sayf-Allah is the Icelander who converted to Islam, as Laminar and MacDaddy pointed out. Before becoming Sayf-Allah, he was known here as von Wrangel (vW).
He's a nice guy. I think we got into some "lounge fights," but over PM I learned that he was a very nice guy. Not to mention intelligent. We would benefit from his presence.

Here in US we have shows about ghosts, aliens and Bigfoot presented as fact every single day on the History Channel. And I'll bet the number of people here that are afraid of ouija boards is larger than the whole population of Iceland.
At least elves are helpful. When is the last time Bigfoot brought you a magic sword, or rescued your daughter from an evil wizard?

You can take the dude out of So Cal, but you can't take the dude outta the dude, dude!

That’s not saying much.

But seriously. I didn't even know they could get that small. Must be due to the drugs or something.

It could be that he has a micropenis resulting from insufficient prenatal androgen production.
(My link is to a Wikipedia page but it is most definitely NSFW)
