I can't seem to find an email to delete that Spotlight keeps finding when I enter part of the name of the sender. The email comes up and mail opens but the delete icon is not highlighted and I cannot click on it... When I do the same search from Mail it does not find the message. Spotlight only finds the message from the desktop.. not within mail. I already reset Spotlight but that did nothing... How can I find this phantom message and delete it.

Hold command when you hit enter to select the message and it should reveal it in Finder.

Or is it hiding in mail itself: Window -> Previous Recipients
