I have had to cases of a Kernel Panic that caused my iMac (Mid-2010) to actually shut down. After the last one I had to unplug the power cord for a second and then it would turn on. They happened probably 4 weeks apart. I ran Tech Tool Pro and found nothing major, and used the Apple hardware test dvd and found no errors. Is there something else I can check?? Should I worry?

Old drivers or apps ?

Make sure all apps are up-to-date.

Need to check the panic logs for clues.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....
