Hey all,
I'm running a SliMP3 Server to play my music on a spare 350MHz B&W G3. How this relates is this:

- I'm writing a Konfabulator Widget that will get the current Artists, Track, Album

Is having the Widget request this information from my G3 every 3 seconds from each of 2 or 3 other Mac's too much to ask of the server machine? Or could I go even lower (1 second)? Can a 350MHz B&W G3 running Panther handle the network "load"?

Thanks,
BD

Hi Boulderdash,
Let me know when your widget is finished. I will test it on my G4 350. If don't have the SliMp3 Server (hardware), but thanks to your link, I am testing for internet music streaming.
