Since upgrading to Tiger I seem to have lost my iMovie icon and now have the generic application icon.

Can't seem to find it anywhere....

Can some kind soul please paste it into a message here so I restore it.

Thanks,

That's strange. Try Getting Info and then selecting the icon and choosing 'cut' from Edit menu. And repair permissions.

That's why I need the icon. To paste it back in to the preview section of Get Info.

Repairing permissions didn't do anything to help unfortunately.

Like iPhoto and Safari it's owned by system and I have Read & Write permissions.

I think somewhere in the upgrade it got confused and killed the icon.

If you can paste an inline image of the icon, I can hopefully put it back....

Thanks,

Jordan

Try Doing a Get info on the app, selecting the Icon and pressing delete. I don't have iMovie on my system so I can't be of more help, but that usually restores an icon to original state.

When the icon is gone it could be that the app is broken. It happened with Stickies some time back here, and I had to copy over the entire app.

Perfect! Thanks mdc!!!

I suppose I could have reloaded the application from the iLife 05 disks but that seemed like such a lot of work for just a little icon.

Sorted now!!!

Ta very much...
