Hi,

I need some assistance for a project I'm working on. At least one model of PowerBook has a "W enhanced" trackpad, but I need to know what model. Its not the 15" or the 12"

Please run this in Terminal:

ioreg -l | grep -i "W Enhanced Trackpad"

If you see any lines output then please post your PowerBook model.

Thanks,

Bas

Thanks, Tomster. That was my guess, but I needed to be sure. It was possible that the "W enhanced" mode was for future 'books, or just cruft code left in the driver.

Icruise, W enhanced trackpads speak a slightly different protocol than the standard pads (and get some minor features as a result). I'm working on a project at that level and wanted to make sure that I wasn't coding to a nonexistent piece of hardware.
