Just wondering how the demographics of MacNN have changed over the years...
Please, restrain all attempts at stupidity, no matter how tempting it is; I'm trying to get at least a semi-accurate idea of the population in here. However, if you are unable to restrain yourself, are an old man pretending to be a 13 year old girl, etc, please vote option 3.

I think it'll be 90% guys, 10% girls only because of the sample size. If the sample size were big enough, it'd be more like 95% to 98% guys. Oh, I'm also assuming that only guys are going to vote for the third option  which is a safe assumption if you ask me.

There are 4 women on these boards that visit regularly. Divide that by the total number of regular users and there lies your answer. And, honestly, of the 4 women I'm thinking of, only Cody Dawg seems to post regularly. Voyageur, Stuphalina, and Cheerios are relatively erratic.

Yet I'm seeing 8 in the poll. Hmm. I know of a few that could account for that but I thought all of them left. With the majority of us being creepy, geeks, gay, or in some cases a combination of all three.

I do know of a few Mac using females, though off the top of my head I only know of one who is a "Mac User" and not someone who just has an iBook because her boy friend said she'd like it, and that's a friend online who got one for school this year (I've taught her almost everyone she knows, she now regularly repairs her permissions, worries if her iBook makes strange noises, and rants about her network guys not being as good with Macs as she is).

There are always a handful of female "drifters" at any given time ... but very few real hard-core, long-term users. For the record, I am creepy and geeky, but not gay.

Really? Well, to me, American football is just almost exclusively associated with men, hardly at all with women. I guess that's because I've never been exposed to the AF culture more than through sitcoms and Hollywood movies - and we all know what a precise and detailed picture of life, the universe, and everything, those tend to paint...
