That article is more about making a custom shortcut in OSX to add date, not necessarily in Acrobat.

Do you have AcrobatPro?

How are you making the PDF?

I'm using preview. Isn't there general Mac insert date shortcut?

not a global osx native, afaik... I've only used adobe apps or word to insert date.

I have A text which is great, but It adds in a format I don't want, and wont add to a preview document.
