The best team in hockey will prevail in the end! Of course, I'm speaking of the Red Wings.

Well that was a close one for the Canucks. Just when you think you can breathe, they go and lose their 4-0 lead

I shall be glued to my tv set come Monday night.

Wings-Sens would be the perfect match up for the Stanley Cup Finals...
with the Wings taking it of course.

Booooo

BTW, any idea why there are so many Wings fans in San Jose? Every time I go to a Wings game, half the arena is wearing red.

I think the Wings fans are everywhere. Wherever the fan base is not really old (like in Toronto, Boston and the likes) or the team has not been recently successful (see Colorado for instance) there will be a bunch of Red Wings fans in the arena.

That and the fact that nobody wanna stay in Detroit and lots migrate to better places with better weather.

LOL.

Yeah I suppose you are right, but I only really notice it for the Wings and Leafs. It's almost as bad as going to a Yankees/A's game in Oakland.

Thanks for making me feel better; I'm 56, but that's probably really old to you!

I also live in a suburb of Detroit, and I like the area!

LOL, I did not mean old that way!! I meant when the team has not been there for a long time and there is no real tradition.
Hey I loved the time I spent in Hockeytown. I was leaving on WSU campus. When you know where to go in Detroit there are tons of things to do. And they have a great hockey team.

Now now, don't get too worked up, it is for naught. We U.S. hockey fans made a deal with Satan so that the stanley Cup would never again be won by a Canadian team.

The Nordiques understood this and moved. Won the cup.

Sorry.

Oh yah, go Nordiques!

Everyone in Edmonton just said: "****ing Flames"

Great game, miraculous goal at the end of regulation but I knew that penalty to Jovo would come back to haunt them.

Not at all. I have to admit, I kind of wanted the Flames to win, if only due to the long playoff drought in Cowtown.

With that said, Calgary's not allowed to win the next series.

Just following the pattern: Wings lose in first round, win Cup following year. I think every other year is fair to the rest of the league.

Heh, that was my prediction for the Leafs: 1st two rounds go 7 games, and my the semis they'll be totally wiped out. Bring back the 5 game preliminaries!

The Leafs do that every year! All-out bang-up job the first round or two, and then they're too worn out and lose the last one badly.

Keep the 7-game system! It's a REAL man's game!
