I can make any evening work, but I suppose the best night during the weekday is Thursday.

during the hallo-storm-ageddon, I went into Creative mode and constructed the most ugly house possible just because I could. Ice, sponge, pumpkins, diamonds!

Lava also seems to drip from blocks if it is right above the block, just like water. Cool.

They've found that 5 lava in a + shape makes an infinate lave source in the center. That will be handy side slimed spawn above block 16 now.

If that's the case, I'm not opposed to starting from scratch, but I don't believe I had quite the amount of super-valuables as the rest of you guys.

It looks to me like when its slow the time on the server is running 100x but its hard to tell because none of the controls work. I don't see it in SSP though.

Well, you could always use the screen shots of our inventories and just admin those items back to us if importing doesn't work out.

^good idea.

I've started a new world full of cliffs. Plus side, most of the monsters fall off the cliffs trying to get to you... Down side, it's difficult to find your stuff after a creeper blasts you off the top of a cliff.

Did we ever decide on village plot sizes and material restrictions?

7x7, with basements?

I think 7x7 was the agreed upon plot size, I took the liberty of designing my space to use a 7 block deep basement as well.

Good, that's what I've planned for as well. We didn't mention a height limitation, unless I'm forgetting. Not that I'm wanting to build a 7x7x40 building -- I had planned on about 4-5 blocks high, but wondered about a flat or raised roof.

I personally suggest that we leave the creative aspects of the roofs up to the individuals, so long as the maximum height doesn't exceed 8 blocks.

Also, I tried to go back to 1.7.3 and get a screenshot of my SMP inventory, but it must be long gone.

Well as long as Blaze still has our old world saved their shouldn't be an issue with recovering what was in your inventory.

My current plan for my plot involves little to no structure on the surface and everything underground.

Should we just log in whenever, or do we want several people in at the same time?

Just fired up Minecraft and it couldn't reach the server, but I might have typed in the addy wrong, can you resend Blaze?

I'm getting on.

[EDIT] Logged on for a few seconds, then realized I have no idea where we're building this little community, and balked. I don't want to get things started if I'm the only one out there and goof it all up.

Blaze rushing indoors before nightfall.

These three shots indicate why it was so important that we built a fence around the colony:

Blaze fighting off a creeper (minutes after another one had camped at his front door (and blew the front of the house to bits after somebody gave him a whack):

Then Andi had to ward off a spider:

And then I dealt with a creeper in the front, and spiders on the sides:

You can see the village from the canyon.

The best part was when Andi aggro'd a creeper and then went to hide in Jawbones house. When she tunneled over to here "house" which at that time was only 1 meter tall. It followed and jumped down the ladder on top of her.

Creepers seem to do more damage, but armor absorbs more of it.

Yes, that was fun.

I went on this morning and explored a bit to make up for lost time. Found the NPC village over the way. The NPC didn't do much, but I stole their grain and tried to get some cows to follow me to a little pasture I made on our fence.

Were you nice enough to replant? I've got wheat in my 1st sub basement too. There were plenty of seeds left around by jawbone and Seks grass clearing.

I did! I actually brought grain in the upgrade, but I didn't have any with me roaming.

I happened to be in my basement when the explosion went off. Knew immediately what happened.

I was wondering what that little extension was -- I hopped on for 5 minutes right before lunch.

Also, I put together a 4-row wheat farm about 300 blocks south of the colony -- it's open to everyone, so long as you replant.

I took a cue from blaze and made an underground farm... but I think outdoor is more handy, so good idea!

what is the water holding device in sek's basement?

That is a cauldron, no use for it yet, but I think it looks nifty. It can also hold lava i believe.

The cauldron threw me off as well. I went through everyone's places to see what they've done. Blaze burrowed down to bedrock, but also created levels every 4-5 blocks or so. Stunningly fast.

Dakar, hope to see you romping around with us soon.

We've got two plots in the village fence unused, after that we'd have to move the fence. Suggestion don't build on either end of "main street" to leave room.

From the mountain expedition:

Waiting for Blaze

Romping around the mountainside

Fatty's mountain on the right, swamp on the left

Trying to figure out Fatty's behavior

And this is why Minecraft 1.9 Pre5 makes me resent the fact that I carried several stacks of brick over from the last SMP world...

Everywhere. Clay is everywhere.

I got lost on my way back from our expedition, and ended up in a place that I snapped a pic of when we first starting looking at the Oasis seed.

Which means my snowy canyon is probably still in the north end of the map.
