Is anyone out there starting to get tired of BBEdit? I don't know why Bare Bones drags its feet with embracing Mac OS X. Yes, BBEdit is a universal binary and has been running natively in OS X for many years, but it still feels like a classic app, or even weirder since they try these fake things to make it "seem" more like a first class OS X app, but in the end, it ruins it even more. You know what I'm talking about starting with 8.5. Oh - and good luck with any theme - BBEdit's GUI is a big hack so themes like UNO don't work right.
I just wish BBEdit 9 will fix all and be a great OS X app. I'm sad to watch it die over the years, especially with Apple doing so great now.

I dunno, BBEdit/TextWrangler seems to implement more Cocoa features than pretty much any other Carbon app I've seen - services, spell check, emacs shortcuts, etc. - without the overhead of actually being a Cocoa app.
I kinda like it.

Never really liked it and it's waaaayy overpriced.
I got addicted to TextMate rather quickly, though …

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I use Textmate, I like its indent feature and a number of other features, but I find I don't really like the whole Textmate Projects approach, do you?
I also wish its SVN support would do adds/commits to entire directories rather than just the current file opened.
Finally, I also wish we could option undo or something to this effect to allow us to undo blocks of text from being added rather than just character by character undos.

I end up using a combination of SkEdit and SubEthaEdit for most of my needs. Ocasionally I'll use Textmate as well. Seriously all of these have their strengths and combined cost far less than BBEdit.

All of these areas will have some major revision in version 2, especially the projects.
