View Options dialog - Why default on all windows?

Hi whenever I want to change the view options of a window in the finder, how come it defaults on making me change the options for ALL windows instead of the current window? I find that really annoying because sometimes I forget to change it to this window only and then it messes up my normal view.

Is there any way of making "This Window Only" the default?
