Bad compression and shrunk down a little (or it would have been 1.3MB, now it's only 130k)

I couldn't figure out how to insert the little spiffy picture links that you all used... so here's my cheap little link...

The theme is Milk and the Dock dividers are mine (I think). My dock dividers go grey when they're at a size in between the icon sizes, nothing I can do about that. Increase and decrease the size of the dock until they are black, at around 16px, 32px, 48px and 128px. Thats when they'll be at their most black.

Hey where can i get that background.
http://www.ResExcellence.com/archive...ylish_40.shtml

The name of the desktop is called 'Minority IRIS', its the first one on the page.

Or that calendar that becomes part of his background.

The Calendar is called DesktopCalendar and you can get it here: http://homepage.mac.com/rgriff/files...ndar.0_47a.dmg

NOTE: The colorwells DO NOT WORK in Jaguar. I had to open up another program (CPU Monitor) and open a Color Palette, keep that program in the foreground and drag and drop the color onto the color wells in DesktopCalendar. It's a bit tedious, but it works!

Cheers,
- Daniel

Itunes is running live, playing Life by the Drop by SRV, it is semi-transparent, used WindowShade X by Unsanity (http://www.unsanity.com/haxies/wsx/) to make it transparent. Also have Euphoria screensaver running as desktop wall paper using DesktopEffects (http://www.versiontracker.com/morein...d=15957&db=mac) with a little revision made to it (http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...10420005353216) so the icon doesn't show in the dock. A friend of mine then wrote an applescript to quit the DesktopEffects.

thanks! it was euphoria in the background; had mistaken that for an itunes visualizer.

unfortunately, euphoria doesn't really work with my graphics card...

oh, i made me an alias for the screensaver; called it...

alias wastecpu='/System/Library/Frameworks/ScreenSaver.framework/Versions/A/Resources/ScreenSaverEngine.app/Contents/MacOS/ScreenSaverEngine -background &'

to get rid of it, just kill the pid you get after issuing the command.

Themes, huh, who needs themes. I can do this to OS X!

Yes, the Cocoa apps in OS X bugged out on me and went a very bright red, complete with corrupted icons . I don't know how or why it happened, but OS X is now reinstalled, and back to normality. OS X 10.1.5, by the way.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Thanks palmberg and geran. I was in a kind of 'swanky' mood and I pieced together some old pin-up art that I 'found' online (okay, stole). I did the HD icons, the desktop, and a boot panel and login screen (see below).

Of course, I later learned that I can't use the login screen in Jag.

Anyway, if you want any of these just drop me an e-mail.

In case anyone else is interested, there's a great collection of pin-up art here: http://www.thepinupfiles.com/AKGallery.html.

No doubt most of you already know of this site. I wish I had l33+ Pshop skills...I'd make my own desktop patterns with some of these beauties.

System 7.5.3, taken on my K'nexintosh 8100. Taken because a friend who just switched
a month ago asked me what "OS 7" looked like. So I showed him. Needless to say,
he's glad he's in X. I, on the other hand, Find the clean simpleness of 7 to be
entertaining once in a while. That's what the 8100's for.

My latest from my iMac G4. Desktop from www.forrestwalter.com.
Desktop is set to change every five minutes to a random image in a folder
full of assorted desktop pictures.

Coming out of the Summer Season, I've started my desktops transition into the Winter months here's the latest:

I'm pretty pleased with the color transition from one end of the dock to the other, not that it really matters. oh, and minimize in place is great.
