Should I bother installing R6: Raven Shield on my PowerBook(specs in the sig)? I really miss playing R6. Is the speed acceptable and how is networked play over internal LAN / internet using ADSL256 on the client side and 1Mbit Cable line on the server side?

If UT2K3 runs fine on your system then Raven Shield should run fine as well. I can't vouce for network play since I haven't tried at those particular settings but the client side should be fine as you don't need a huge pipe to play online.

To tell the truth I never played UT2K3 on my PowerBook, so I would have no idea how it performs Is there a UT2K3 benchmark anywhere? I am not a frame-rate whore, but I want the gameplay to be smooth with a reasonable amount of options. Sometimes fast computers also means that you are not going to get killed.

I just installed it on my 800 Tibook and though I had to lower the graphics a bit it did work fine.

R6 and UT2K3 both run fine on my iBook/900 G3/640/32 Radeon.

R6 lags a bit every now and then, but is totally playable.

Lower the detail some and it runs perfectly. I play on the same machine.

As for the network settings, are those the upstream or downstream ratings for each connection? Just curious.
