Hi there f0lks at MacNN-Forum!
i`m sitting here in Germany still waiting for my 17" imac ordered at a big german mac-reseller.
it is announced to be shipped next week and i nearly cant stand to keep waiting any longer. as i can see here at the forum some of you allready recieved their new machine.
i would be very pleased if someone could post a link to a private homepage with pictures or some kind of personal review about the imac. This probably could help me to spend the following days without getting completely mad.
congrats to all happy owners and my best wishes to you all from the other side of the atlantic ocean.

In fact, to some people obviously it came with Jaguar, to some not.
Look at these pictures, which seem to come from a guy from hongkong (a lucky one):

P.S.: my apple reseller told me that shipping to germany is delayed to the end of august

It doesn't have the Jag default background, so I'd say it doesn't. I could be wrong, though.

To me the pics of the cds and booklet don`t look like a fake.
maybe he didn`t upgrade yet to 10.2 when taking the photos. Like he said Jaguar came along as an "Upgrade-Pack", so it is not pre-installed but has to be upgraded with those cds.

I got mine a couple weeks ago, 10.2 included, and it's by far the most beautiful computer ever created. The display is gorgeous, even sharper and clearer than the 15" version. That extra couple inches of real estate really comes in handy. I now find I have room for extra windows like ichat or mail or whatever without having everything stacked on top of each other. No wonder they're selling like hotcakes. I heard the NY apple store as 1,000 people on a waiting list.

Sure, I wouldn't have minded a little more horsepower, but with 10.2, the overall system is pretty fast. Hang in there, it's worth the wait!

I am still waiting for mine too which I ordered July 25 from MacWarehouse. I have been given four different delivery dates so far. why do they have such a hard time knowing when they will be ready??!!
They told me they had received a few and shipped them last week and should have mine for sure yesterday - but no word yet. Anyone get one from MacWarehouse yet?

No, I got it from a big German Reseller named "Cyberport" in Dresden. They allready shipped their first 15 iMacs two weeks ago, but i ordered too late (2.Aug.) to get one of those, but finally my waiting has and end now.

iMac 17" rocks like hell
