Ok i want to use the VGA port on the back on mr. blueberry to hook up to the TV for DVD watching. What do I need and where do i find it?

VGA ports are typically used to connect to external monitors or projectors. I can't think of any device that can allow you to go from the VGA port of your Mac into a TV.

You need a scan converter such as the iTView or the AVerKey iMicro. Should be available at CompUSA and other Mac resellers. You will also need a separate cable to connect the audio.

But if watching DVDs is all you want it for ... for about the same amount of money ($100 or so) you're probably better off getting a decent DVD player for your TV. I got this basic JVC player on sale for 79 bucks. Works great.

I recently bought an iAVerKey DV device specifically for that purpose (connecting my iMac 400DV/SE to a TV) off of eBay to play some video games on a bigger screen. Now I am building a full sized machine (MAME) and no longer will need it. Make me an offer
