I would like to buy a mac computer for editing film and listening to music. The problem is i have know idea which one to buy because ive never bought a computer before. So i would really like some suggestions for the best computer for what i need. Thanks a lot.

Depends on your budget. For editing video, I'd say an iMac G5 might be your best choice.

Yeah, it's hard to say without details, but assuming you're an average consumer with a medium-range budget, I'd recommend an iMac G5 too. If you can spare the extra moolah, get the 20" 2.0 GHz version. If you can't, get the the 17" 2.0 GHz version with SuperDrive.

iMac on sale at the Apple Store for $899; 1.6Ghz

1.8Ghz for $999

These would drive beginner/medium video files fairly well.
iMac - Late 2015 iMac, 32GB RAM
MacBook - 2010 MacBook, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM
