What you talk about is possible, but it will be a lot of trouble to set up. You need "access points," not "wireless hubs," (which are really routers with built-in access points) to do this.
Basically you install an access point in every room, and plug it in to the wall. Connect the other end of that wallplate connection to a cable/DSL router. Individually, you'll have to assign each its own IP address so you can access it. Then you have to give ALL of them the same network name ("SSID"). Assign each one a DIFFERENT channel, and keep the channels at least two or three channels apart.
As you can see, the administration of just getting things going will be a pain. Once you get through that, though, it should work fine.
