Hello all,

ok this is what i want to do, and is it doable ?

trying to connect 4 rooms wirlessly, all rooms are connected ( wired ) i was thinking of ataching a wireless hub in each room to cover the whole room and the hall way ( the house is Huge ) is that possible ? just to plug a wireless hub to the network that would cover that area ? so far i have one Airport extream hooked in my room,. rest of the rooms get access by wire. do i have to add more Airport Extreams or can i mix and match ? thanks all !

What you talk about is possible, but it will be a lot of trouble to set up. You need "access points," not "wireless hubs," (which are really routers with built-in access points) to do this.

Basically you install an access point in every room, and plug it in to the wall. Connect the other end of that wallplate connection to a cable/DSL router. Individually, you'll have to assign each its own IP address so you can access it. Then you have to give ALL of them the same network name ("SSID"). Assign each one a DIFFERENT channel, and keep the channels at least two or three channels apart.

As you can see, the administration of just getting things going will be a pain. Once you get through that, though, it should work fine.
