Don't ask me why. I never connected to a newsgroup. I've only "managed" to read those lame newsgroups within entourage and stuff, but how do I join other newsgroups? It seems like these newsgroups are kind of filtered, no music and stuff. What newsreader is easy to set up and easy to use?

First, learn to use the right "to" ... in your case, it should be "too" stupid...

Just thought I'd point that out

You don't really ever join a newsgroup; you just read what you want and then post what you want.

What you do is find the newsreader you want and then subscribe to the newsgroups which interest you. Read the posts, and if you feel like contributing pitch in. Be aware, however, that most newsgroups have standards of conduct and they will come down harshly on those who don't behave. Read the FAQ if there is one.

As for newsreaders, you can check out MT-Newswatcher, Halime, pan (which runs under X11) and if you're really brave, tin (runs in the console only).

Thoth is also a popular newsreader. If you use Mozilla, you can use Mozilla Mail to reader newsgroups.
