The App Store witnessed record revenue figures in July, Apple tells business network CNBC. The platform is also said to have achieved a record number of people making transactions. Apple has not, however,
provided any specific figures, something it usually reserves for press events, major milestones, and/or quarterly results calls.
During its Q3 call, Apple CEO Tim Cook commented that iTunes was its fastest-growing business, riding mostly on the App Store. The company's combined iTunes/software/services segment
grew revenue 12 percent year-over-year to $4.485 billion.
