Most of you probably remember this theme from Jaguar, and briefly on Panther. Great theme. Were the original creators (if you are still out there) planning on updating this for Tiger? If not, could you give someone permission to update it? It surely deserves to be brough back

You're not really clear. Could you tell us what it looked like, and stuff like that?

Ah that was one of the very first themes made ever.
It was out around the same time my Simple Aqua was.
Pre-Public Beta days.
It was made by a guy that used to post here.. can't remember his name.
One of the very first themers.
It later had colored widgets and such.

bingo. There was an update for Panther by another user, but it didn't last long, unfortunately. A quick search will show the outcome of that though.

looks like a simple theme... may as well make an update for yourself if you're that keen on it.

Quicksilver is just Aqua with the Graphite varient and squared off windows... Kowloon is basically Aqua with the Graphite varient and squared off windows, only it also adds squared off widgets and buttons. I dunno... it's looks pretty close to me.

No it's not close.
Smooth Stripes would be closer.
The only difference is the title bar.
And that can easily be changed.

All I have is the jaguar version of the theme. Is it still as simple as editing the titlebar?

I am not a themer, at all(!), but the QS theme is the best I've ever seen. I would be very appreciative if someone would update this theme....or post slightly more detailed instructions on what is involved in editing.

Charles did you say you had the original theme file for this theme? If you do, I can help you.

This theme started life as "Iridium Quicksilver" by someone (unknown to me) who used to post here. It was reworked for 10.2 by Lars Weigman. The 10.1 authore was known, in some forums as void07. The 10.2 reworked version, called QuicksilverR is available at resexcellence:
http://www.resexcellence.com/themes/index_15.shtml
With Shapeshifter, I sorta got QSR to "work" with Panther, but it didn't look right....window close/zoom/dock buttons were the wrong size, etc.
Far warning, I think this theme withered over ownership disputes that started when the various "reworks" of theme began.
I just think it is a theme that is beautiful for its simplicity....what I wish the default graphite appearance looked like.
I hope you can resurrect it for Tiger!
