I'm contemplating revenge. Not a violent one, just a funny/slightly humilating one. I know it's not moral. Oh well. Chances are my plans will not materialize. They never do.

What about you?

i've done this.

put in the persons e-mail address into all the raunchy (or just standard) porn sites you can sign up to get a weekly or daily email. oh, and any other websites work too.

in other words, tons and tons of spam e-mails and its harmless, but highly annoying to the person your doing the revenging too.

I drove around for 45 minutes one time at a mall trying to park during Christmas (I managed a store there at the time). So I eventually find a spot, and am sitting about 2 lengths away, with my signal on, waiting for the people in the spot to leave. They pull out, and from the other direction this compact races into the spot while I'm behind the other car which is leaving and cannot move.
Well, the people in the compact get out and I open the window and yell "Hey, lady I was waiting for that spot!". She looks at me, turns around, walks off into the mall.
I go to the other side of the mall, find a spot in about 10 mins, and come back. I proceed to deflate her right front tire and her left rear tire using my key to vent the air.
I felt pretty damn good about it, and still do.

I called a kids high school and said I was his father and that we'd had a death in the family so would they please find him, have him collect homework for the next week from all of his teachers and then wait for me in the office as I was on my way to pick him up.

Only one of many.

Awesome.

This thread depresses me. I'm not sure I've ever gotten revenge for anything in my life..........

I don't do revenge.

If I'm an asshole to somebody who is an asshole, that still makes me an asshole.

I'm not an asshole, and karma is a bitch.

Next door neighbour had a load of soil from a building site down the road imported onto his property. Freebie from the builders who had to get rid of the soil anyways. No problem.

In order to do so, he took part of my (dry stone) wall down which I'd paid a skilled craftsman to build. Problem. If only he'd have made the gap for the dumpers to come through another three feet towards his house (and we're talking about fifty yards of his wall available) he wouldn't have had to touch my wall.

So I called the environment agency (since foot and mouth/BSE there's restrictions on soil movement because of organic matter in it possibly being contaminated). Now he's got to remove the soil and dispose of it at the correct facility. About a $15,000 bill. He ain't talking to me any more for some reason.

I don't recommend revenge. But I don't recommend pointlessly damaging someone's wall either.

old enough to drive but anot old enough to be tried as an adult, thats for damn sure. the police did come to our shool to investigate, but that payphone was used by any number of students every day. apparently he waited in the office, wondering who'd kicked off, for a good two hours before calling his dad to inquire.

he also had a small clubhouse/shed sort of thing in his backyard that, shortly after, mysteriously exploded and burned to the ground.

I was not the sort of child that should have been given a chemistry set.

That's not revenge. Really. That's "not looking the other way." Big difference. If the bloke had done the right thing in the first place (at least as far as you were concerned) you may not have even noticed the soil. Now, because he went out of his way to mess with your wall and not his own, he's got to pay to get things fixed. That's called "he made his bed, now he has to lie in it." His doing, not yours.

Revenge is immature and motivated by emotion. Payback is another matter entirely. It usually comes from being truly wronged or damaged, or both. Just like Doofy's experience, when somebody does something hateful, spiteful, nasty, or otherwise inconsiderate in the extreme, they usually manage to hose it up too-leaving themselves open for some sort of retribution that is NOT revenge. They set themselves up to be in a bad position. In its extreme, it's exemplified by the guy who calls the police because someone broke into his house and stole his stash of weed (which in iteself is evidence that overusing pot can rot your brain ). DUH!

I have to say that meelk's "setting the air free" from the inconsiderate cretin in the parking lot has a serious attraction. It really doesn't do any real damage, but it sure inconveniences the miscreant. I truly understand the lasting "warm feeling" from that act of protest.

Revenge only manages to serve your ego, which is never the right thing to do.
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

A well placed and concealed broken egg can be nice as well. Or a fish.

I have heard stories- may be urban legend- of chemically freezing small animals and shattering them in your foes space. The bits would be small, hard to find and clean, and would eventually thaw, rot and stink. This is particularly effective if there is a mouse you need to seek revenge on as well.

My friend who I'll call J in case there's a statute of limitations out on his crimes
had a series of books by George Hayduke with many different revenge plots.

He was a co-worker of mine at a former job.

His ex-girlfriend was a manager there and he was so upset that she was promoted
over him that he made her life miserable there.

G, the boss was understandably not wanting to let J go just for this reason but
J wouldn't let it go and made the ex-girlfriends' life miserable at the job.

They finally terminated him because the ex-girlfriend found it impossible to
work there with him constantly harassing her.

He wasn't a bad guy, he just couldn't handle the fact that his ex was now
able to order him around all day.

J decided to start doing....weird pranks to the guy who fired him.

He'd call him at the same time every weekday at the same time in the morning.
Every time G would answer the phone, J would say "just checking" and hang up.
Day after day. For OVER A YEAR!

J later came up with bumper stickers that had offensive sayings on them
and prepared them for deployment on G's car. More on those later.

J also knew that incoming mail for that manager was routed thru the shipping
and receiving department which was mostly staffed by 19-23 year old women
who were very gossipy and snoopy:

He started sending postcards to G with hearts and perfume sprayed on them
insinuating that G (who was married) had a red hot affair with a large black
woman from down south. He liberally coated the postcards with details of
alleged sexual exploits.

He mailed the postcards in a large envelope to Atlanta somewhere where a
remailing firm or a friend (I forget how he did this) re-mailed them insuring
there would be an ATL postmark on it coming back here. And G had attended
some corporate meeting down in Atlanta at some point so it made it look like
he'd had a tryst down there.

These postcards hit the shipping department like a bomb and it was the talk
of the office for weeks.

But it gets weirder: he also had a gag "VD test results inside - private and
confidential" envelope sent to him as well with a fake VD test results.

You figure this is going way too far for a job where he was only making
$5.00 an hour (this was back in the mid 1980s).

So it goes further - he puts on a stinking boiler suit and shows up with
a fake moustache and beard and a clipboard and walks into the office
looking like a delivery guy and walks into the phone room (which wasn't
secured at that time) and starts walking away with equipment he wants.

He ended up with a small telecommunications cache over time.

But it didn't stop there! He starts deploying the bumper stickers on
G's car "Have you beat your kid today?" "Cops are $&!#(*$&*#$"
(you can guess how many times he was pulled over before he noticed),
and some that reflected unpopular political opinions.

He did some more stuff before he got another job and got bored of it
but I thought it was one of the most ruthless and relentless campaigns
of annoyance I'd ever seen.

There's more but after a while it got kind of numbing. If he'd just put
that energy into a job he would have been happier.

He's a married parent now and when reminded of this stuff gets kind
of embarassed obviously.

ambush what does that have to do with the facts that if you dose someone and get caught, you are going to prison?

Atleast bring some relevancy into the discussion.

I personally don't believe in taking revenge. Should pray for my enemies. Just hope that they will see the errors of there way.

Funny how illegal things can become legal when it's supposedly in the "country's interest". The domestic spying programme would be another example.

But now, please, back on topic. I've derailed my own thread!

I called INS on a guy (Canadian) who really pissed me off (and a bunch of others). He was in the country on a VISITORS visa but was actively engaged in interstate commerce and representing a corporation.

He turned so white he immediately left the country. Bwahahaha!!!

Relevant to what he was replying to.

I told him under Canadian law doing what he was talking about doing, he would be imprisoned.

He posted a link of the US doing experiments with LSD and other mind control substances in the 50s.

As if it had any relevancy to what I said.

In other words, he was just being old-sk00l Ambush.

The whole Rob/Secret Service thing is probably one of the examples I won't soon forget. Of course it sucked for him, and was arguably rather a bit of overkill for whatever it was he said to whomever it was here that got their little feelings hurt.

But from a purely academic standpoint, pretty good.

I wonder if anyone ever claimed that one.

I don't know who did it, but at a grocery store I worked at someone put a shopping cart full of bakery garbage in one of the bakery ovens.
I think someone was pissed about the bakery department leaving carts of their trash in the backroom.
When the morning bakery person came in the first thing they do is turn on the ovens. After just a half hour the the plastic shopping cart has melted to the floor and the trash inside is a smoldering mess.
Security came in an investigated but they could not figure out who had done it.
Someone got revenge or just pranked them and got away with it.

IT WAS NOT ME. I had that morning off.
