Ok, now you have to let us all in on it-did you forget to eject it? I've done that a few times...

Huh? Indeed, I think there does seem to be a minor bug going on here. I got a 5.5G 80G Pod a few weeks ago. Immediately, I noticed that when one ejected it, it froze, sometimes with the "Do Not" symbol, frozen, sometimes with it gone (prior to the eject action, it was slowly flashing on and off, so it all depends on the exact second you ejected). I documented it, wrote Apple and they sent a box. The new one had the exact same problem.

I call it as minor because if you leave the unit plugged in for 1-2 minutes, it will unfreeze and return to the main menu. BTW, Apple's "documentation" such as it is, clearly states that you may lose data from your Pod AND you computer if you don't see the "OK to Disconnect" message.

Not fixed by the 1.2.1 firmware update, which introduced a major, deal-breaking bug of it's own. Sure seems like their software QC is totally nonexistent.
