Anyone here owns a Samsung SM245B 24" LCD Monitor?
About to buy one & would like opinions on what the monitor is like. I'll be using it for gaming and then photoshop as well.

Samsung SM245B is good , you can find many good reviews for it :
Samsung 245BW 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 5ms, 1000:1(DC 3000:1), WUXGA 1920 x 1200, DVI, Black, Height-Adjustable Stand at TigerDirect.com
24" 245BW Widescreen LCD Monitor, Black Samsung 245BW at PC Connection
And if you want to get one I suggest you to go there :

Hope this helps anyway .

Just got a 245BW!
I DO seem to have an issue with it. I suspect (but can't swear) the issue is a badly designed backlight system. While the effect is subtle, certain desktop patterns show a very noticeable variation in darl/light, delineated along the vertical. As in it's darker at th top of the screen, gradually getting lighter and lighter as one goes from top to bottom. Any attempt to make the bottom quarter darker will make the top third too dark. The exact same file icon that may look nice and saturated at the top will look washed out if positioned at the bottom of the screen.
I'm on my second one and both show the same thing. It also is true that if one uses a photographic image as a desktop, one would be very hard pressed to see this. Solid colors show it, but not as dramatically as small gifs that may be tiled over the entire screen.
BTW, I took one of those small files and used it on a 1920 x 1200 iMac at work. Absolutely even from top to bottom! Yes moving one's head up and down does change... but the effect stays the same.
Do other who have this montior see what I'm seeing?
