Long time no talk - hope all's well in the MacNN world.
Here's what's up: My Powerbook G4 (used as a media server attached to my home theater) has decided it doesn't want to boot - stuck at the grey Apple logo and eventually turns itself off.
Had the same issue awhile back (terrible luck lately) with my MacBook Pro and an erase and reinstall saved it, so that's what I'd like to do this time.
HOWEVER, I can't find my Leopard discs anywhere - only my retail Snow Leopard disks.
1. Would I even be able to boot off that disk on a G4?
2. If so, could I then use my backups and the Restore from Time Machine feature?
Any other helpful ideas?
Thanks
