This question relates to UK and Dutch readers:

Is anyone using an AirPort with Demon as their ADSL ISP? If so can you help me out with set-up please. I'm on a Ti PBook with AirPort card and 1st Gen AirPort Base Station, connected to NetGear ADSL modem.

I've had the wireless stuff working when I was on Telewest cable modem, so I know that's cool. I also have Demon working with the NetGear using ethernet, but just can't seem to get the wireless working.

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks,

A.

If you connect the Mac to the ADSL router using an ethernet cable does the ADSL work?

What Netgear box do you have?

I have a PB12" airport extreme, plus a D-Link access point plugged into a netgear dg814.

Thanks for your help.

I'm with Zen not Demon but that shouldn't make any difference. The aiport station should just plug into the router and... work. Sounds like your basestation isn't setup right - is their a setup assistant or something? Are on OS X?

In the OS X Utility folder there's the Airport Setup Assistant - maybe this will help configure it?

I certainly suffered connecting an Apple Airport to a DLink sdsl modem (bought from the AppleStore) .. Look at the Apple supprt pages for Airport extreme discussion group - many threads concerning this very problem.. also check out http://www.adslguide.org.uk/

Thanks for all your help. One of my mates helped me set it up. To tell you the truth we don't know what was wrong - it just started working!
