This warning comes every time OSX system is updated. Unsanity still has to update their server and then the warning will disappear.

It is perfectly okay to apply the theme in spite of the warning as it was indeed made in 10.4.8 and there are no gui changes in the system from 10.4.7 to 10.4.8 anyway.

funny.
when i go to apply the theme, i get a message that states:

The theme you are about to apply will make your Mac look almost too good, and may cause envy among other Mac users. A Mac is sexy enough on it's own. However, feel free to attract women with your 12" Powerbook, and the PhotoPro theme.

Im having a bit of trouble with my menu items, I followed the instructions to the "T" but still have funky menu items. Here's a screen shot of what I'm talking about.

Hey I've downloaded your mod from InterfaceLift.com. However when I try to install the mod into ShapeShifter, it pops up a messages states:

The mod at "PhotoPro1.4" cannot be used because the guiKit file is too new to read.

I'm using the latest ShapeShifter 2.3.1(75) and OS X 10.4.7

Any ideas?

Does anyone use Adium with this theme? Is there a way to keep the photopro icon of the duck in the dock instead of the chat bubble with the 3 exclamation points?

but...am i gonna lose itunes if i update iT to 7.0.2?

Great theme, actually my favourite, trouble is the adobe cs2 syuite dont launch properly or dont launch at all. And if you can get em working the menu bar is not displaying the theme, it just whites everything out.

The transparent part of the theme doesnt work well with Adobe apps, the solid does.
Also when you retart the computer in default UI form, apple transparent Photopro then launch adobe apps somtimes they launch with the theme, then after 1 hr of work you cannot launch any apps from the dock. You have to restart the comp again, so im forced to load all the apps and put the comp to sleep instead of shutdowns if i want the themes to remain.

GREAT THEM! Maybe its beta SS fault and not the theme maker?

i'm running the transparent version (which i love); i've just selected the adobe apps (and dreamweaver) to be excluded from shapeshifter; works fine
(altho i wish i could use the theme with those apps...)

Are you Intel or PPC. I have been using it on my G4 for over a month and CS2 has been rock solid.

for me, ppc.
but...look what happens if you go to the fonts menu in ps2 (or indesign...)

EDIT: actually, ps works fine; text in menu is white on grey background, but in indesign, black on grey (so harder to use)...

There are two themes that I can't install because I keep getting the same warning about being "too new." I have installed the new beta of SS and still keep getting the same warnings. SS will not let me install the themes anyway as someone suggested.

Any ideas around this as it's been happening for about three months now.

If you are sure you are running ShapeShifter 2.4b4 go to the preferences and check: Check for new updates and for compability info.

If that doesn't work I would suggest deleting all the plist files associated with Shapeshifter and restarting.

I just checked and I have the latest version that is offered on their website - 2.3.1. The beta version has apparently been removed. I'll try deleting the plist files.

UPDATE: I got rid of the plist in the root level Preferences and all it did was then tell me my demo time had expired on SS and I needed to purchase the software. I tired downloading Photopro anyway and was still being told that it was too new. I put the old plist back. Any other suggestions? This is crazy that other folks can download and use Photopro and I can't.

applied the guikit through shapeshifter, and itunes, and dvd player, and all that stayed the same, the only thing that changed was my normal window colors, firefox, and finder....

???

From another post I gather your problem is with all guikits, not just PhotoPro.
What system, computer and version of Shapeshifter are you using?
My first thought is this is system related but I could be wrong...

Latest beta SS, latest OSX and intel imac 20" and latest Photopro.

I get bad menu headers in Adobe apps even when I apply the fix, after 10 mins I cannot launch anything from dock, After Effects becomes crash prone via spinning beach ball after 30 mins with Photopro...
I LOVE this theme but had to deactivate SS.
