My keyboard doesn't have a forward delete key, so what is the short cut, if any, for that? By the way, it doesn't have a Fn key either.
It is the Apple Desktop Bus keyboard that shipped with the Apple II GS, circa 1987.

Judging from the looks of things a forward delete key is the least of your worries

I found out the hard way that Mac laptops use "Fn-Delete" for forward delete, while Delete by itself does a backspace.

Delete is also backspace on Mac desktops.

So there's a separate, "forward delete" key on desktop keyboards?

Yeah, there has always been one on the extended keyboards. I think the little iMac keyboard had one too.

I don't think he has to worry about Cocoa apps. He doesn't have a keyboard that would be used on an OS X capable Mac.

Oh, heh. I guess I must have skipped to the latest end without actually looking at the OP.

I use this keyboard every day with my MacBook. Every key works, even in Windows via Boot Camp.

I have an iMate ADB to USB adapter.
I am a keyboard junky, and I like the old style mechanisms better than anything you'll pay less than a hundred American for.
An in case you are wondering, the power button brings up the shut down menu in OS X 10.4.10 and XP Pro.

Wow, you have a 20 year old keyboard and still works?! Mine, from Kensington or MacAlly crap out on me at about 7-8 months. Admittedly I'm rather ham-fingered, but I may just look at getting one like yours on eBay. Thanks, helpful info.

I have a couple of these now, and I don't go through keyboards like you do anymore. The old ones are bullet-proof.
