I have a G4 iBook in which I've installed an Airport Extreme card. I also have a G3 dual USB iBook that has an old Airport card in it. Lastly, I have a graphite Apple Base Station, which is connected to my cable modem. Drivers for all devices are up to date.

When the two iBooks are the same distance from the ABS, the wireless signal on the G4 model with the Extreme card is only half as strong as the signal on my G3 iBook. I've checked and rechecked the installation of the Extreme card, with no change.

Perhaps the problem is with the iBook? Thoughts? TVMIA.
I keep the Bible in a pool of blood so that none of its words can affect me.
