I was attempting to play a mmorpg game called Conquer Online that required a (basic) 3d driver, and could not get it to work on Virtual PC. Whenever I try and load the game an error message appears telling me a "dx error occurred. check your video card driver." I have downloaded and installed directx 9, but am unsure if anything can be done to get around the problem with the video card driver itself.

Has anyone tried to use a program requiring a 3d driver and gotten it to work? Or does anyone have any ideas how to get Virtual PC a 3d video card driver?

Don't bother playing ANY games on Virtual PC.

What you'll need is Intel Mac and Boot Camp.

Virtual PC and all other emulators that I know of do not have direct access to specialized hardware like 3D accelerators. Trying to play games under emulation is futile.

I couldn't even play a game of winrott which is an port of a 2 1/2 D game from 1994 on VPC on my Mac. I use my PC laptop for windows only games... at least until I get an intel mac.
